Villages Vintage Car Club Monday

The regular meeting of the Villages Vintage Car Club was held on January 18, 2010 at the Truman Recreation Center.  President Jim Maiurro called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm and led the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance. 

REPORTS 

The minutes from the November meeting were read by the Secretary Prentiss Yates.  A motion was made, seconded and carried that the minutes be approved as read. 

The Treasurer’s report was read by Treasurer, Mike Ferlisi.  A motion was made, seconded, and carried that the report be approved as read. 

UPCOMING EVENTS

 Harry previewed the upcoming Club car show.  The show will be at Marion Market on February 27, 2010.  There a lot of vendors and more than $5,000 in prizes.  Volunteers are needed for the registration committee.

OLD BUSINESS 

President Maiurro stated that the Entertainment Committee and Refreshment Committee terms were completed and is seeking volunteers to fill the vacancies. 

A vote was taken concerning the club logo.  A vote was taken and 36 voted for no change and 32 voted to change.  The club logo, often referred to the “Model T” logo will be used.  The others will be phased out.

NEW BUSINESS

 None 

ANNOUCEMENTS 

Wendy’s car show: Jeff Markow won a trophy. 

There were 2 winners for the 50/50. 

The Villages are in charge of the car show. 

VLife Magazine featured cars by Bill Guiter, Rick Welsh and Bob Schlenk 

A motion was made, seconded and motion carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 pm.
