Villages Vintage Car Club

A abbreviated Meeting called to order on 18th of October 2010 at: 6:44 pm in the Studebaker room of the Truman Recreation Center. President Jay DeCamp lead the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance. This was during a short intermission of the Pot Luck dinner. Kudos to the entertainment committee for a “Job well done.”

Business:
The upcoming election of President and Secretary was discusses, there were no new nominations from the floor.
Rick Welsh withdrew his nomination to run for President.
The payment cutoff date for the Christmas Party was clarified, the date is Nov. 30th.
The 2011 entertainment committee will need additional members to replace retiring members.
Motion: Provide $500.00 to the entertainment committee for table settings and gifts for the Christmas Party. Motion Passed. In light of the pending bylaw change Jay DeCamp is advancing the money to the committee. The club will reimburse him after the bylaw change is approved next month.
Bylaw change first reading;
“Sec. X Paragraph F.
Expenditures by the club must be approved by a majority vote of the membership present at a monthly meeting. The only exceptions are described in Sec. VII Paragraph D. which describes the duties of the treasurer.”
Jay DeCamp presented a check for $76 to cover “his mistake” in calculating the cost of the club picnic.
A motion was approved to not accept the check.
There are still a limited number of spaces for the trip to the Muscle Car Museum on 11/12-13. This trip is a joint effort of our club, the Corvette Club and the Mustang club.
There were two new membership applications submitted and approved.
